What You Can Expect

Your day starts with a scenic 2-hour drive from Chengdu to Wolong Panda Base, home to many of China’s most famous pandas. Upon arrival, you’ll enter the panda enclosure, where you can watch the pandas go about their day, from munching on bamboo to playfully tumbling around. With over 60-80 pandas at this site, you’re guaranteed plenty of memorable encounters.

Following your panda visit, enjoy a traditional Sichuan lunch at a local restaurant, sampling some of the region’s best dishes.

The afternoon brings a change of pace as you head to Happiness Valley for a relaxing hike. This scenic trail spans approximately 4-6 kilometers and takes you through a lush forest with flowing streams and rolling hills. Whether you choose to dip your toes in the stream, stop for a moment of reflection, or simply enjoy the crisp air, this hike is all about peaceful nature immersion.

By late afternoon, you’ll return to Chengdu, having enjoyed a day of discovery, wildlife, and tranquility.
